Food & Beverage - Baker
Supervisor: Kitchen Supervisor/Food & Beverage Manager
Salary: $7.50 to $10.50
Exempt: No

Job Level: 2 – Light work

Summary:
- Responsible for all baking duties for the restaurant throughout the day.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Checks menus and prepares baked goods for the restaurant, snack bar or for special events
- Follow recipes to prepare baked goods
- Maintains sanitation standards at preparation area and kitchen
- Maintains adequate supply of items for baking and keeps area organized
- Accurately accounts for all supplies used be the baker
- Informs Food & Beverage Manager of items needed will in advance for ordering
- Communicates and works with other departments regarding specials and services
- Perform other duties assigned by Kitchen Supervisor or management

Education and/or Experience:
GED or High School Diploma preferred, but not required
1 year previous baker experience required.

Special Skills /Experience:
- Must have good communication skills, able to work calmly and professionally under stress
- Excellent vision including peripheral vision for safety
- Must report to work on time, perform duties as assigned and keep up with fast paced business practices
- Must be able to maneuver in confined area of the Kitchen and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to read, write and understand English for food preparation and recipes
- Effective presentation of food items
- Must be able to monitor food warmers and coolers and accurately inform Supervisor of any safety issues
- Must be able to properly handle food items at all times
